Ode To Baseball Melinda stated, Damn Yan- kees is a musical that takes place in the fifties. It is about an older man who meets up with the devil and trades his soul to become the greatest base- ball player in history. This man runs into Lola, the devil ' s right hand woman and she tries to se- duce him. It was very humorous, sad, and an all around- enjoyable show. Melinda also said, It ' s the best show we ' ve done so far. Opening night, April twenty- third, was a smash, as were April twenty-fourth and twenty-fifth. Great going drama!
