, Our First Time The night was clear and crisp, a little cold, but it felt good to stand out in the chill of the night after having been dancing in Cloud Nine for a couple of hours. Cloud Nine is located inside of Knott ' s Berry Farm, where winter formal was held on January 29, 1987. This was the first time that winter formal had been held at an amusement park. David McKenzie, although he did express some sorrow at not having won a stuffed animal, felt that winter formal was fun and that, It should be held some- place like this every year. It gives you a lot of differ- ent things to do. 1 went on the rides, danced, walked around, and played games at the game stands. The band was Jeryasound and everyone seemed to love them. They played a variety of songs from funk to jazz, though they seemed to favor funk. If you grew tired of dancing, there was the Mine Ride, the Cork- screw, the Wacky Soap Box Racers, and the Sky Cabin to ride.
