These classes took up about ninety percent of their summer and lasted four hours a day, five days a week. These long hours paid off, for the coming school year was made easier and it was one less course to take. The sum- mer school classes were available at three different schools: Estancia, Costa Mesa, and Newport Harbor. Kristen Williams took U.S. history at Costa Mesa High.
