BAD This year is a red letter year tor the EUHS Band. lt was just four short years ago that David Petrasso started his long hard climb to gather band students. Some of this year's Seniors will be graduating and leaving the EUHS band for the first time in the four years. During these years the band has collected various instruments, which are played by the 65 band students. Last year when the band went to the District Contest in Oregon City, they came home with the l's that entitled them to go to the State Contest at Eugene, where they came back with top honors also. Last year we had two soloists that quali- fied for the contest - Glenn Duus and Dean Qualls. Danny Mariman, a fresh- man this year, also went to State. Each year the band gives or sponsors three concerts, which have always gone over successfully. The band goes on several trips each year to different schools and cities where they give concerts. The band members hope the following years will be as eventful as the past four years, and wish to express their gratitude to David Petrasso for his marvellous directing and the many exciting moments that we've all had. We also hope to do as well at the District and State contests this year as we did last year. The Officers are as follows: President ....... ,.., D EAN QUALLS Vice-President .... .... D Avi: QUALLS DARALEEN PHILLIPS Secretary-Treasurer. . . .... IUDY LAUDERBACK Manager ,.., ......, ....
