Aztecs Qnite Spirit Week got off to a slow start this year, but ended up with a bang. One of the most exciting aspects of the week was the slave auction. Each member of the Homecoming Court was put up for auction. Senior Princess Carrie Kidwiler sold for S47 to Junior Kelly John- son and friends, while Senior Prin- cess Lori Gurior was bought at S'l2.5O by Amy Wixted and An- gela Pina. The most expensive slave, Ed Quigly, was bought for S23 by Chaundra Rhony. After the representatives bought, their buyers put whipped cream pies in their faces and hair. Another exciting event was the pep assembly. A few of the events included a cheer to Prince's single Baby l'm a Star by old and new pepsters and the introduction of the Home- coming Court. The rally ended with class competition, which was won by the fired up Class of '86. 'l. Marsha Martinez takes a bite of a doughnut while she trying to win the team competition. 2. Karrie Kingman bends over to try to avoid more whipped cream in her face. spirit week - 465
