IEE 'UUEUIE The 4985-86 Esperanza Track Team showed signs of having an- oTher greaT winning season even before The real season sTarTed. Al- Though The Team did noT go Through a loT of heavy pre-season Training, They did go To some pre- season meefs. ln January, aThleTes Tami HarberTh, Peggy Emerson, and oThers Took second place in a disTance relay aT The SunkisT indoor meeT. Coach Al BriTT said, The Team was very capable of being league champions aT all levels This season. There were a few mem- bers on The Team good enough To go To ClF. When asked early in The season whaT Teams would show The mosT compeTiTion, coach BriTT felT ThaT Kafella, Los Alamifos, and El Dorado were likely candidaTes.
