They braved the elements and dared tate to gain the advantages ot this tair land. While you are experiencing the thrill ot teen-age living and enjoying the heritage ot this great nation-its treecloms-its schools-its wealth-its constitutional government-its almost inexhaustible natural resources . . . Remember-you are about to become one ot the main actors in this drama ot lite and that the stage is now set with an air frontier and an atomic horizon. Prepare yourselves as best you can, while you can. Pioneers ot the atomic age may live to smile at the dangers taced by the l849'ers. You can and must help to turn the dangers ot this atomic age into benetits tor all mankind. You may participate in the new age ot exploration as man ventures out into the solar system. Kelcinaf The cene The Trustees are aa very important factor in our school. One of their biggest accomplishments this year is the fine building which will be school board has also classrooms. Two of wh occupied by the music department. The talcen steps for the provision of four new ich are to be built in the near future. Two shiny new busses were added towards our school's trans- portation system. The students gratefully ap school board. The veterans' pro need for these busses was great and the preciated this action on the part of the gram, which was financed by the govern- ment, was actively carried on throughout the year. The adult education classes were again conducted with the support of the Trustees. Fine opportunities were offered in courses such as ceramics, rug-malcing, foreign languages and Woodcraft-these being but a few of the numerous subjects rendered. We are sure that the Trustees for their all of the students at EUl-lS wish to thank fine co-operation and achievements. Mr. Judson

Mr, Minnich, Mrs, l-lollmann, and Mr, Miller . , , The three mathematicians ot our school, They taught us equations and how to use protractors. Many students at E.U.t-l.S. have enjoyed taking math trom these three teachers. 757974 110 he ta lnstructing the students in Latin, Physical Education, Art, Spanish and French, their days were spent in solving the various problems these subjects brought up. These women enabled us to learn the fundamentals ot their courses. 144 759 Mr, Bahen, Mr, Schmeeltle, and Mr. Klewer . . . These three masters ot the slide rule, T-seuare, and blow torch capably handled students interested in their subjects. Students in these classes always benefited. Mr. Ahler, Mr, Duncan, and Mr, Quade . . . Exhausting themselves physically and mentally, these men helped our boys to acquire a good physical education and tine sportsmanship, l-lard working teams were the tinal outcome ot their ettorts. Mrs, Vogel, Miss Cook, Mrs. Allen, Miss Perrone . . .
