Coach Larry Kraemer was moved To say oT him, Warren is a good runner and a good TeIIow. High praise Tor anyonel Phil Lombardi and Johnny SmiTh are Two oTher members oT The 880 relay Team. The dismal era ended. We enTered upon The year I AD. oT The new Erasmus Hall sporTs calendar. Our class girls hockey Team Trounced The Brooklyn Collegians and also won The school championship. In The Tinal game, HarrieT Merrill saved The day by scoring The decisive goal. The gridders were deTeaTed only by Boys High who became The myThicaI ciTy champions. The Team deTeaTed Madison and Tied Manual. Qur class had seen Manual beaTen buT once in TooTbaII. Three games had ended in Ties: one game was won by The Park Slopers. The mermen again won The Brookiyn Championship buT wenT down To deTeaT aT Columbia Pool. Our Brooklyn crown an- nexaTion marked The TiTTh consecuTive Time, and The ninTh ouT oT Ten Times, ThaT we had won iT. The baskefball Team ended iTs schedule in second place. Lincoln, The Brooklyn winner, spliT a pair oT games wiTh The BuTT and Blue cagers. Ed Ehlers, co-capTain and veTeran campaigner, played his lasT game Tor Erasmus Hall. EooTbaII nexT season will lose Wilson Korona, also a member oT The baseball and swimming Teams. BaskeTbaII will lose Ed Ehlers, veTeran player, who has been eiTher capTain or co-capTain Tor The lasT Three years and who also plays ouTTieId on The BuTT and Blue nine. Bob Holm, a reIaTive oT Eleanor Holm, was one oT The mosT improved players oT lasT year's second place baskeTeers. Also graduaTing is Max ScharT, essen- Tially a Team player, whose presence will be sorely missed on nexT year's guinTeT. Frank MorTon is a second year man who puTs all oT his heighT and TighT inTo his cenTer posiTion. Harvey Goodrich was acclaimed one oT The besT deTensive guards in Brooklyn Two years ago. OTher members graduaTing are Louis Tomiasulo and Joe Shapiro. Dick Cunningham, Erasmus' Top breasT-sTroker, Tinished Third in The P.S.A.I.. swim championship. Ray Frisch is a Tine swimmer. Hal Lesselbaum is one oT The Team's beTTer breasT sTrokers. James RaTTer, ArThur Holleb, George Heller, and William MonTgomery are also leaving Erasmus Hall. The baseball Team will do wiThouT The services oT Bill Egan, one oT The besT piTchers in BuTT and Blue ranks since The days OT CAPTAIN ED.
