’CATS DEFEAT DOTHAN 14-9 FOR PLAYOFF SLOT. On November 5, 1976, a record crowd (10,849) watched Enterprise win the Region 3 Class 4A cham- pionship by defeating the Dothan Tigers. 14-9. This was the first time the Wildcats have been in the state play-offs since 1972. It was the kind of game that will be remembered. The cheerleaders were crying for joy, the fans were cheer- ing wildly, and the ball players were fired up. After the victory, for that night at least, All was right in the world in Enterprise. Sherman Wilkinson waits as Dothan takes a time-out. Paul Terry leads the blocking down- field. The Wildcats are elated after the first EHS touchdown.
