Roy! Ensley’s Roy Streety is a unique young man. A year ago Roy was told that he had cancer in his knee. He had been very active in sports, especially tennis, so he knew his life would be in for intense change. This past year Roy has had to undergo several chemotherapy treatments, which are given 3 days straight for about an hour each day. These treatments have made Roy very sick at times. Whereas many students would have been overcome with discouragement, and maybe even given up, Roy has been determined to keep going, to attend all his classes, and to do all of his work. He has asked for no favors. When Roy Streety receives his Ensley High School diploma on June 12, 1987, he will have truly earned it, along with the espect and admiration of the Ensley faculty, staff, and students. We salute you, Roy, and wish you much success in our future. 47 The Seniors Big Adventure October 9, 1986 SENIORS ON THE LOOSE 49 ADMINISTRATION. FACULTY. Time, which never stops on its journey, will pass before your eyes, and in only a few moments you will be members of the community looking back on the years you spent at Ensley Magnet High School. When you do, the photos, facts and memories in this book will be your stepping stones to a happy reminiscence. For you can’t do a kindness Without a reward, Not in silver nor gold But in joy from the Lord — You can’t light a candle To show others the way Without feeling the warmth Of that bright little ray ... And you can’t pluck a rose, All fragrant with dew, Without part of its fragrance Remaining with you. Helen Steiner Rice “You have made us extremely Proud of you!!
