We may remember these years as having aeen wasted, or we may remember them as being the most important years of our lives. These were the years when we learned to think for ourselves. The years when we trained ourselves to stand on our own to face the future. The years when we expressed ourselves in the greatest possible manner. We will soon look back on the achievements which we have made, or perhaps, those which we should have achieved; those things we should have done, but neglected to do; those things we should not have done, but went on to do; the wisely chosen endeavors, and our misjudged ones. Whichever we choose to look back upon, we must take the credit or the blame. The time which has passed will be greatly influenced by how we have used it, and we must thank those who made it a little easier for us. Certainly the past cannot be changed, but the future is still within our power. Joseph T. Gallagher President, Class of 1970
