THE STEAM, WHEN CONVERT- ED INTO MECHANICAL ENERGY BY THE MAIN ENGINES, PROPELS THE SHIP. IN ADDITION, IT IS USED TO POWER THE GENERATORS AND CREATE ELECTRICITY, AS WELL AS THE DISTILLING PLANT, WHICH PROVIDED FRESH WATER.
