Weigand is Director of Field Services The Director of Field Services is responsible for off-campus relations as well as for the schedul- ing of on-campus conferences and special events. Field Services maintains a list of faculty members who are available for speaking engagements and information concerning types of programs. As Special Events Director, Dr. Weigand and his committee arrange for cultural and entertain- ing attractions at the College, which have a varied appeal to all students. They sponsor the K.S.T.C. Artist Series, this year including Fred Waring and his Pennsylvanians, the Cleveland Playhouse, the Wichita Symphony Orchestra and the National Ballet of Canada. They also sponsor movie convos, and trips to the Starlight Theatre in Kansas City. Dr. Weigand, as Special Events Director, has many duties to perform.
