The 1985-86 Wrestling team can be described in the words of Charles Dick- ens, “It was the best of times; it was the worst of times — The team had some injurys it hadn’t counted on. These took away some good wrestlers, but the young, developing talent stepped in and filled their spots. On the brighter side, this year the team was extremely close knit. Coach Hansen summed it up when he said, “When one of you stub your toe the rest yell.” The closeness of the team helped throughout the year and credit for much of its success must be given to this spirit of “oneness.” Over all the year had some depress- ing times where nothing went right, as well as times when everything went our way. At the state tournament everyone gave their all. Two third place medals were received by Seth McCourt and Ken Winder. Dustin Taylor received a fifth place medal. The rest of the team did a tremendous job. A great deal of hard work, team effort, and sacrifice made the 1985-86 Wrestling year one to be remembered. 3 27

Baseball The baseball team had high expectations for the new season. This year’s team had a lot of depth and talent. With most of last years team returning, they had a great advantage over ev- eryone else. With a new coach, field, and new uniforms, the team looked really HOT! Although the year ended without reaching their destiny of the State Tournament, we were all still proud of our guys!
