The Odd Couple The contrast between Oscar and Felix in the play, The Odd Couple , sent the audience into fits of laughter several times. The cast portrayed their characters very well. The play, itself, was a real-life situation, so the characters could relate to the incidents. The Drama Department performed the play three nights for the public, and then went on to present it before the student body. It was a great success. This is the club's first year of working with Mrs. Terrie Shoemaker. Some of the members were asked what they thought of her. They stated that she was extremely talented, and knew how to get the job done. We are proud of the efforts that were shown by the cast, and all who worked on the play. Carnival The play Carnival on the outside may have looked like a fun play with no real meaning, but when you really sit and think about it, it had a hidden meaning. It was about the life of people in the fantasy world of carnivals. It re- layed that this often dreamed about life is not what it is worked up to be. The excitement of it is often unreal. Quite often, the people are rejected. In the end of the play, you find that people mask their true feelings. They put up a front of strength, when in reali- ty they are weak. The cast did a great job of portraying their parts. They should be commended for a job well done. They put effort and time into the production. They did a su- per job. 18 Musical
