lt rs drfhcult to keep enough new boolfs on the shelves to supply the demand Readrng rnterests have

The llbrary assrstants trred therr hand at a new vpe of actrvrty Grace Hall wrote an orrgrnal poem
on Lrbrary Servrce whrch was grven wrth effectrve pantornrne by lrbrary helpers wrth appropriate post

Lrbrary rnstructron for every puprl was stressed thrs year
Free readrng penods for class groups were arranged through the cooperatron of the Englrsh Depart

Newer methods of rnstructron requrre wrder student use of lrbrary as rndrvrdual students prepare
separate contrrbutrons to a common problem rather than all puprls study exactly the same pages of the
ame book Hence students learn to seek answer to therr questrons from several sources

TRACK
Though this year's track team is inexperienced,
it does have a lot of good material. At press
time the first track meet is still a week away,
but from ideas gained at the all-school meet
held each year before track season Coach
Vaughn has a good idea of the events in which
the boys will participate,
Veteran letter men from last year are Dart
Keech who puts the shot forty feet and Dan
Traicoff, sprinter, This year Dan is going to
try the dashes and the broad jump. Ioe Racz
and Al Hardy will run dashes. loe Bacz is also
on low hurdles and Dick McDonald on high
hurdles. Al harriman, mileman from last year,
will run his same event.
Many of the boys out are sophomores and
juniors and will gain much experience for future
track.
There are about fourteen events on a track
team so a boy can find the events he likes very
easily.
