The Elsberry Chapter of the Future Homemakers of America was officially orranized on October 17, 1951. Officers from the Troy Chapter conducted the Installation service. The following girls were installed: Virginia Baker, President; Jeanette Hartley, Vice President; Anna Mae Davis, Treasurer; Betty Sue Riffle, Secretary; Shirley Wayman, Historian; Rose Reed, Parliamentarian; and Mary Louise Lahr, Reporter. The Club is affiliated with the State and National organi- zation. The following calendar of events was adopted at that time; 1. Regular monthly meeting date on the last Friday of each month; 2. Participate in Sub-District Convention at Troy in November; 3. Adopt a needy family at Christmas; Ip. Entertain Baseball boys and F.F.A. in January; 5. Rummage Sale and Bake sale for financing activities. Mrs. Franklin Wayman and Mrs. Guyon Wilson were elected as Chapter Sponsors. Mrs. Frances Sutton Is the Club Advisor.
