England, Ireland, Scotland, France. Yearbook: Did you feel as though you were recognized as an American tourist? SMsie.- Not until we had to speak. We were classified immediately. Yearbook: Did you find a McDonalds? Susie: Yes. We took a taxi one night because it was raining. McDonalds ' was one of the few places still open, and it was only two blocks. Each person paid $1.50 for the 90 second ride, plus double for food. Yearbook: What songs composed the top 40? Susie: Songs were dated: ours from 18 months ago, a lot of punk. Yearbook: What were the highlights of the trip? Susie: Edinburgh and the Tower of London (the people were much more friendly.) Yearbook: What surprised you about the European culture? Susie: Not as friendly, especially compared to the South. Reserved, but really ve ry nice after accepting you. Yearbook: Do any of the Euro- pean ' s dress according to ivy league look we find on our campus? Susie: Not a one. Dress towards punk. Most of the girls wore high heels. They appeared to be very shoe-conscious — both sexes. Yearbook: To what parts of Europe did you travel? Susie: Edinburgh, Scotland, Dublin, Ireland. Others went to Spain, Greece, Paris. In England: Windsor, Bath, Brighton, Hastings, Stratford- upon-Avon, Dover, Canterbury, Stonehenge. Yearbook: Did it seem as though the professors enjoyed themselves as much as the students? Susie: As much, if not more. They certainly kept up with us. Yearbook: Rate trip from 1-10. Susie: 10 Yearbook: Social life. Susie: 9 Yearbook: What you actually learned. Susie: 10 The river that flows through Stratford-on-Avon. Paul Hershman, Tobey Gourley, Sharon McCale, and Debbie Lamb find American style hamburgers at the American connection restaurant in Dublin. 26

Senator. He has also served on the ROTC program. Karen Mahnda Wall Wall is presently a Junior, Biology and Math major. She has been on the Dean ' s List every semester at Elon and is a member of Beta Beta Beta Society. She has been a Hall representative and a member of the Baptist Student Union. She is also a member of Alpha Chi and was a participant in the Honor ' s Program. She was also student representative to the Athletic student-faculty com- mittee. She has been a scholastic chairman and an intramural chair- person and participant. She is a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Social Sorority and is a member of the Tennis Team. She has been the Most Outstanding player and the State Champion. James Robert Williams Williams is presently a Senior Business and History double major. Williams is a member of Alpha Chi and of Pi Gamma Mu. He is a mem- ber of Phi Alpha Theta and has received the A.L. Hook Scholar Athlete Award. He has also been on the Dean ' s List every semester at Elon. He is a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and served on the Inter-Fraternal Council. He has been the Vice-President of Phi Alpha Theta and has been a mem- ber of the Elon College Varsity Baseball Team. He has been active in intramurals and served as Um- pire for the girls and women ' s Softball league. He is also a member of the Soicety for Advancement of Management. He has been a tutor for the L.R.C. and a coach for the church base ball team. He has also served for the American Cancer Society and is active in Royal Am- bassador ' s at Corinth Baptist Church. He has also worked at the Elon College Children ' s Home and has assisted in the N.C. Blood and Eye Bank. Stephen Michael Wright Wright is presently a Senior, Ac- counting and Business double ma- jor. He is a member of Alpha Chi and was a recipient of the A.L. Hook Scholar-Athlete Award. He has been on the Dean ' s List for three semesters. He has served as a member and president of the Society for the Advancement of Management and as vice-chairman for Business Students Communica- tions Committee. He has also been on the Organization Committee and the Executive Committee of the Elon College Accounting Associa- Karen Wall tion. He serves in Collegiate Soccer and Intramural Basketball.
