Civinettes. She has served as Peer- Counselor and as an Assistant and the Student Coordinator of Com- muter Orientation. She has served on the Orientation Staff and worked with the Freshman Day Committee. Nancy has participated as Co-chairman for the Liberal Arts Forum and has served as Coor- dinator for the Non-Traditional Support Group. Timothy Chuck Mills Mills is presently a Senior at Elon. He has been on the Dean ' s List every year present at Elon and has been a member, Vice-president and President of the Beta Beta Beta Society. He has served as a Chemistry Tutor and as a Biology Lab Assistant. He is a member of Alpha Chi and has received the Elon College Academic Scholarship. Mills has served as Student of the Week and he has received the Bran- nock Scholarship. Sherri Leigh Nunn Nunn is presently a Senior History Major, English Minor. She has been on the Dean ' s List several times and is a member of Sigma Tau Delta. She is a member of Omicron Delta Kappa and of Pi Gamma Mu. Nunn is also a member of Alpha Chi and of Phi Alpha Theta. She has been secretary and President of Phi Alpha Theta and was a Com- mittee member for the self-study project of Elon. She also served as social chairman and vice-president of Pi Gamma Mu and was the Scholarship Chairman of Phi Mu Sorority. She has served as a Departmental Assistant in History and in English. Nunn has also been an Academic Counselor and par- ticipated with intramural sports. Her Civic activities include service with the Cub Scouts, Sunday School Teacher and as Church pianist. She has also served as a Softball and Tee-ball Coach. Chuck Mills John Murray Sadler John is presently a Senior Biology major with minors in Chemistry and History. He has served as the President of the S.G.A. and has been a Resident Counselor for three years. He has been a guest speaker for the Southern Association of Students and has been a member of Standard VII of the reaccreditation for Elon College. He has worked for the United Way and has served on the Student Union Board. He has been a member and chairman of social events for Sigma Phi Epsilon Social Fraternity. He has helped with the Elon College Handbook and was an Assistant Area Coor- dinator. John was the Sigma Phi Ep- silon Scholarship Chairman and he participated on the Student Life Committee. He has served on the Intramurals as well as on the Swim and Lacrosse Clubs. John has been one of four students to speak to the Board of Trustees and he has been a member of the Liberal Arts Forum. John has also served as the Yearbook Editor and Chief. Anne Marie Saleeby Saleeby is presently a Junior Math major with minors in Business Administration and Com- puter Science. Ray Coleman Education major. She has been on the Academics Dean ' s List and a member of the Civinettes for three years, becoming president of the Committee this year. Lynn is a Honor Court Justice and has served as a Resident Counselor. She is also serving as President for Omicron Delta Kappa. She is a member of the Elon College Fellowship and has been active in the Elon College Choir. She is one of four Elon stu- dents on the Co-cirrucular Task Force-and she has been a member of the Steering Committee to organize the Almance Children ' s Theatre. Margaret Ellen Guy Guy is presently a Senior Ac- counting and Business Management Major. She is a member of the National Honor Society, has been on the Dean ' s List, and received the Zeta Tau Alpha Scholastic Award. She has been the Sigma Phi Epsilon Golden Hearts Secretary. She has been treasurer for the Society for the Advancement of Management and secretary for the Business Stu- dents Communication Committee. She has also been a member of the Accounting Club and has been a lab assistant for the Accounting depart- ment. Guy has also been an active member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Social Sorority. Jerry Lynn Hooker mmess f Nish Bynum Susan Davis Hooker is presently a Chemistry and Radiology double major. Jerry has been on the Dean ' s List and has also served as a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa Society. He has been the president of the East Area House Council and has served as the Chairman for the Student Union Board. Jerry participated with the Freshman Orientation Staff and has membership in Sigma Phi Epsilon Social Fraternity. He has been on the Tennis Team and has played for Intramural Softball and football. Marsha Charlene Hughes Hughes is presently a Senior at Elon. She has been on the Dean ' s List and on the National Dean ' s List of American College Students. She has been director of the Elon College Gospel Choir and is a mem- ber of the Black Cultural Society. She has been a Resident Counselor and Student worker in the Cafeteria. Hughes has been on the Business Department Staff and has served on the Curriculum Commit- tee for the S.G.A. She is a member of the Christian Fellowship Association and has played In- tramural Basketball for the Gospel Choir. Nancy Wright McLawhorn McLawhorn is presently a Senior at Elon. She is a member of Alpha Chi and of Omicron Delta Kappa. She has been on the Dean ' s List and is in the Honors Program. McLawhorn has received the BH Moser Fund and the Dixon Ministerial Scholarship. Nancy has participated in many Fund Raisers for Elon and she has worked on such Elon publications as the Freshman Register, the Commuter Newsletter, and on presentations for the L.R.C. She has served as secretary-treasurer for the Daytrip- pers and as vice-president of the 22

Freshman Day and Orientation. She is in the Honor ' s Program and has been on the Dean ' s List several times. She has been a Media Board member and treasurer. She attended the National Honors Convention and has served as a member of the Honors Advisory Board. Anne has been a Student Worker in the Math Dept., the Library, and Chaplain ' s Office. She was the Student- Coordinator for Freshman Orienta- tion and has been a member of the Civinettes. Anne has been on the National Dean ' s List and she was also a member of the Alamance County Children s Theatre. Ardith Joyner Shoffner Shoffner is presently a Senior Human Services Major at Elon. She has been on the Dean ' s List every year at Elon. She has also served as a Big Sister and as a volunteer teacher at John Umstead Hospital. She has been a Foster parent and has worked with handicapped children. Ardith has also served as a Meals-on-Wheels volunteer and as a Suicide and Crisis Line volunteer. She is treasurer of St. Paul ' s Lutheran Church Women and Chairman of the Workshop and Music Committee. She is an Assis- tant organist and also a Sunday School Teacher. Roger Sidney Shore Shore is presently a Senior with majors in Biology and Math. He has been on the Dean ' s List several times and has served in the in- tramural sports. He has served in the Chamber Singers and the College Choir. Roger has been a Biology Lab Assistant and Tutor as well as a member of Beta Beta Beta. He has been on the National Dean ' s List and is a member of Alpha Chi. Roger received the Rudd Scholarship and has been a junior Marshal. He has also been a Lab Assistant in Embryology and Com- parative Anatomy. He is a member Thonda-Omar Taylor of the Orchestra and has served in the Pops Concert . Roger has received the Holt Scholarship and has been a Rhodes Scholarship Nominee. Dorene Spaulding Spaulding is a Senior at Elon College. She has been a member and treasurer of the Elon College Gospel Choir. She has also served on the Yearbook Staff and as an Alternate Resident Counselor. She is a mem- ber of the Society for the Advance- ment of Management and is a mem- ber of the Black Cultural Society. Dorene has also served as a Resi- dent Counselor and on the Homecoming Committee. She also served on the Standard Four Com- mittee for Elon re-evaluation of Southern Association. Dorene has also served in Elon ' s work-study program. Thonda-Omar Delainie Taylor Taylor is presently a Senior Human Services major at Elon. He was a member of the Football Team and has participated on the Track Team. He is a member of the Elon College Gospel Choir and has been President of the Black Cultural Society.
