This Annie show was directed by Miss Falls with the assistance of co-editors
Norma Bultemeier, Carol Noble, and Norma Thiele and with the support of the
rest of the staff.
The photographer was aided by thc picture editors. Leonard Sheffield, Ronald
Stoller, Bill Bird, Lee Taylor, Dick Koch, and Tom Wleisenburger tagged along
carrying the photographers equipment. Mary Ann Strater, Carolin Smithson,
Norma Thiele, Carol Noble, Norma Bultemeier, Doris Zelt, and Arleen Ferrell were
seen running from room to room to get students for pictures.
Staying after school several Tuesdays kept some of the staff busy until 5:00 P. M.
Among these were: Doris Zelt, Virginia Grepke, Carol Crabill, loy Smith, Mary Lou
Twigg, Shirley Mann, Marilee Hardisty, Carolin Smithson, Carol Noble, Ronald
Stoller, lim Bentley, and Connie Saum. This group did and redid the senior
write-ups.
Getting that copy to the printer on time involved plenty of work. especially
typing. Some of our whiz typists were: Plunia Orcutt. Ioann Meyers, Arlene Ferrell,
loy Smith, Mary Ann Strater, Marilyn Centh, Doris Zelt, Norma Thiele, Norma
Bultemeier, and Carol Noble.
Doing club write-ups is another great task of the Annie staff. Band write-up
was written by Iames Bentleyg Home fic. Speakers' Stand and NFL by Doris Zeltg
.-INLIBRUIW Staff by Carol Noble and Norma Bultemeierg Carolin Smithson did
Red Cross Club. Norma Thiele was in charge of the write-ups for the Glee Club
and Magazine Campaign. Other write-ups were: .JDVANCE by loy Smith, Com-
mercial Club by Pluma Orcutt and Ioann Meyers, GUS Club by Dick Koch, Phi-
Chem by Bill Bird, Dramatics Class by Norma Bultemeier, G. A. A. by Mary Ann
Strater, Booster Club by Leonard Sheffiield, and E Club by Carol Noble.
Don Young was in charge of boys' sports. Taking care of the money and sales
were Ralph Morrical, Iohn Shappell, and Don Strauss. The class sold 479 books.
In closing, the Anlibrum staff hopes that you have enjoyed reading this book
as much as we have enjoyed putting it out. XVe are pleased by the thought of this,
our 1952 year book, completed.

The purpose of the Rifle Club is to teach and promote sportsmanship. Organized
in 1931, our club is a member of the National Rifle Association. Our rifle matches
are inter-scholastic events as are the softball and basketball games. The two highest
awards given are the Distinguished Rifleman and the Expert Rifleman Medal. Don
Combs, a four year man, received the Expert Rifleman Medal. This club is sponsored
by Mr. Weaver. The olhcers are as follows: president, Norman Warner: vice-presi-

sportsmanship. The oiiicers of the club are selected by a faculty committee. These
four oihcers, two juniors and two seniors. then choose the members. The standards
for membership are as follows: dependability, trustworthiness, personality, and sales-
manship. Points for a letter may be earned by selling pens, pencils, and streamers
as well as refreshments at our home games. The Rooster Club has two sponsors,

Elmhurst's Trojans pulled to a halt another softball season with a record of six
wins and three losses. The "Big Nine" moved into tournament play with a 6-Z
record but were defeated by the tough Harlan Hawks. Certainly most of the credit
should go to the "Big Men" of the team, Mr. Fryback and Mr. Weaver. Losing only
six men from this year's squad, the "General" and Mr. Weaver expect a successful
season for '52, Student manager was Lee Taylor. Batting averages were: Young-
