Algebra wasn't half bad, nor was literature but oh! that English. What is a predi- cate noun and how can you tell a verb phrase? lt was so complicated. Mr. Logan was our home room teacher, of Coursey and Edwin Hall, president: Ed. lackson, vice-presidentg Ruth Bastian, secretary: and Doris Coleman was treasurer. A skating party was voted as the class activity and was supposed to be held lanuary 30, but the sophomores had one booked for lanuary 31 so it was postponed. Who could stand to skate two nights in succession? Especially, after all that trouble of picking one's self up. lt gets really tiresome, doesnt it? Harold Roe was accidently killed during Christmas vacation. Harold had many friends of all ages. A bunch of new freshmen came in at the half. Gee, high schools a funny thing! Every- one is allowed to talk when he wants to in the hall. lust duck into the first lunch line you see is the motto over here, Most of the freshies had hamburgers for dinner. What a time! Running after your bus makes you seem such a foolg and one's not that until he's a sophomore and even then he's a wise one. Well, live and learn. Everyone had a chance to join a club, and there was such a variety so everyone was satisfied. We freshies say, Heres to old Elmhurst High, school without peer.
