HI SCHOOL PARADE HE parade is on! From our high vantage point we see the phantom marchers gathering. They swarm from North Side, South Side and all directions, and a babble of voices is faintly . . heard. Very suddenly, all is in order and quiet. VVe dis- tinguish ltlr. Eickhoff going out to lead the troop that chose him as their General. From the reviewing stand, section May-1934, we dis- cover that the sophomores in '32 are electing their leaders, but not un- til they come closer do we lea1'n that the captain is Ralph Snyder, the lgst lieutenant, Eugene Romey, and staff' correspondent and 2nd lieutenant, Don Ake1's. While passing through November, they halt. There is a party. They resume their steady advance. N ow they are being detained at a junction called Semester Exams. As we watch, they rally. and are rewarded by a three months' leave of absence. The time seems all too short. and before long we spy them re- appearing, tanned and talkative. Rallying to the standard is Hans Seiher, Esther Robertson. Vera Hoffman, and Martha Kemmer. VVhy are 501116 faces so glum down there under Oletha's man- agement! They netted S5150 profit from candy sales. It nmst be the banks. But, nevertheless, plans for the Prom occupy many a pri- vate's spare time. VVhat can that be that theyire hoisting up-a banner! Yessir, and it's pink and green, the troop's ofiicial colors. And that card beside it has on it the committees, of course. Let's see. Vera Hoffman. chai1'n1an of Prom Decorations, has for her helpers Leah Nyffeler, Jim Wfolf, Russ Troxel, and Lou Auman. Chairman of Invitations. Bob Arnold, is assisted by Oletha Griffith and Helen Engle. The Orchestra Committee is headed by Audrey Gebhart, to- gether with Lucille Neuman and Virginia Coleman. As the troop nears April 29, they grow more feverishly active. A special halt is called. They're voting. They're making an announce-
