JUNIOR PROM IS HIGHLIGHT IN ELMHURST SOCIAL SEASON ELL. since all the folks are away and there is nothing else to do, why not drag out the old album and see what inte1'esting things there are to see. Oh yes. this one contains the progress of the class of '35 at l'llmhurst. I'ye heard that's a very successful and peppy class. Now let's see. Right here is the group of greenies who first entered high school. But at that they weren't any greener than the rest. because that was a new school and eve1'yone was as unfamiliar with it as they were. Now these folks must be the otlicers of the class. YVho are they! Yvell. there's Mike Trott as p1'esident. He's that little fellow with the big laugh. Dot Monce is his assistant. and Bernice Graft as secretary-treasurer. Berneice. by the way. was the first one to enroll in Elnihurst High. Quite an honor I should say. Congratulations! Blr. Jeffrey is their advisor. He was very well liked. Hereis a large picture. Oh. this is their tirst party of the year. And now, why are all those youngsters looking so down in the mouth, and look at the furrows on their brows. You don't suppose it could be exams! iVell. that's it. and they're certainly making the worst of things. Now this picture looks brighter. I suppose it's 'cause exams are over. I donzt blame 'E'lll! And this picture looks like another party. Yes, it is. Now look at those grins! You just know by looking at them. that they have washed their hands off the freshmen title and are now sophisticated tp fy sophomores. Yep, here they are with the sophomore title and do they look big! Let's see, who have they selected this time for their leaders! Paul Kennner, a basketball hero. is president. land he was so hash- fulj. Blike Trott is vice-president, Howard. Shadow Gould is secretary, and Berneice Graft is treasurer. She must be good at it. And demure Miss Rinehart tnow Mrs. Erbaugh to you. pleasei is selected as their source of better judgement. Oh boy, what's this I see! Nothing else hut a Hard Times Party. the Sophomores' first activity of the year. My dear. look at that dress Delitta Beck has on! I'll bet her mother found her quilt all cut up next 1no1'11ing. At least that's what the dress looked likc. And. Bliss Falls, your dust cap and apron are charming! Hilda Ditzenberger, where did you ever dig up those old relics of shoes. Yes sir, high tops and pointed toes. in fact, so pointed you might have
