Exponents of Knowledse To the faculty goes the task of making a well adjusted, educated individual out of the freshman who comes to the college doors. They have the opportunity to give a student a basis for living, not merely being a success, but for living life to its fullest. Character and personality is formed at college, and the faculty plays on important part in this process. Being a professor means mastery of subject, ability to teach that subject, and understanding the student, his accomplishments, his difficulties, and his problems. The students discover that the professors are human beings and not mere theorizers. The faculty, the backbone of the school. 17
