So far, both boilers have supplied over 174,994,560 pounds of steam to tum the shaft and allowed us to travel over 55,000 n.m. That's a total of 155 days out of 200 underway since we left May- port. We used over 19,885,745 gals of feedwater and 2,276,569 gals of fuel to do so. I Heading the crew of B-DIV Gumbys' is ENS Wood, BTCM Wade and BTC Goodwin - THE TOP THREE DOGS! As we left Mayport for the Med, we had but one thing on our minds - OPPE. Little did we know that 150 of those days would be spent in the Red Sea as part of Operation Desert Shield. Though we spent many hours supporting the cause, it did not reflect our true quest, preparing and waiting in eamest for the inevitable OPPE! That day finally came eleven days after we were due home.
