GI EERI G DEPARTME Engineering Department is comprised of four divisions which are responsible for the power, electricity, steam, damage control and repair. M Division, working out of main control and Aux 1, is in charge of all machinery which involves propulsion of the ship and electrical generators. M Division is also responsible for making feed water for the boilers and fresh water for the crew. The men of B Division are no strangers to high temperatures. They are responsible for providing steam for hot water, electricity, and propulsion of the ship. They also ensure that the quantity as well as the quality of the ship's fuel is sufficient to keep the engineer- ing plant running in top condition. A8zE Divisions oversee all electrical power distribution and internal communica- tions throughout the ship. They are also tasked with ensuring that the air condition- ing units, emergency diesel generators, boat LCDR Morel Chief Engineer engines, and refrigeration units are all work- ing properly. A-Gang is also responsible for supplying and testing the quality of fuel for the helo. The HTS of R Division provide the ship with all welding and metal work. They are also the ship's plumbers and resident experts in damage control.
