C. , on March 7, 8, and 9, accompanied by Mr, J, C. Winstead. John was elected to the district office of Lt. Governor. George and John take a break after a busy day of meetings. . ' , -I ,. Pictured in the lobby of the Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston are Mr. J. C. Winstead, George Varnell, and Frank Eason. A group of students attended the Science Symposium held at Duke, State, and Caro- lina on May 7, 8, and 9. The event was sponsored by the Rotary Club. Visiting State College during the Symposium were: Frank Eason, John Farmer, George Varnell Carl Pennington, and Billy Winstead. Qisddddlpdydf Sm ' On April 4, Bobby Cobb, John Farmer, Joe Owens, Wilbur Johnson, Linda Gard- ner, Mary Lee Winstead, Gloria Fair- cloth, Susie Durham, and Sheila Page enjoyed the hospitality of East Carolina College. The program included ed- ucational exhibits, open house in many of the departments and musical selections presented by the band, choir, and orchestra. Of particular interest to the girls was a style show held in Austin Auditorium and for the boys there were physical education activities and varsity baseball practice. A dance in Wright Auditorium ended a very enjoyable day. Horseshoes, anyone?
