After graduation from Jacksonville University, he completed Officer Candidate School and was commissioned in August 1971. He is married to the former Joanna Erwin of Cookeville, Tennessee. They have four children, Elizabeth, James, Jennifer, and John. Lieutenant Commander Rankin has received the following decorations: Navy Commendation Medal, Navy.Achievement Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, and the Battle Efficiency Ribbon. 8

FARROW1 UNITED STATES NAVY Commander Farrow, a native of Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, was commissioned through the NROTC program in June 1965 upon graduation from Dartmouth College. Commander Farrow is married to the former Donna Rudge of Pensacola, Florida. They have two daughters, Lisa and Jennifer. Commander Farrow assumed command of USS ELLIOT DD-967' in July 1983. Commander Farrow's decorations include the Legion of Merit, three awards of the Navy Commendation Medal, the Navy Achievement Medal and various unit and campaign citations. 1 7
