Through the years to come may this pictorial record also be a vivid and constant reminder of a valuable and happy period in the lives of all those sharing together the worthwhile contributions Ellettsville High School has made to society in i963-64. So let's all get aboard for a ride through the 1964 LLAMARADA. illi- , A lE'!?' I hope the traditions that have been developed by former graduates will serve as a guide for our new school, which is designed to help meet the educational needs of all the boys and girls that may attend. It is my sincere hope that you may take your place in society with a feeling that your teachers and the other sources of knowledge and inspiration with which you came in contact during your school days will be a great help to you in making ycur future successful. As superintendent of the Richland-Bean Blossom School District, I wish each of you a happy and successful life. 4 6 5 7 , To Students, Faculty, and Friends: I would like to begin by expressing my best wishes and deep appreciation to all concerned for making this a most productive and enjoyable year. A chain is no stronger than its weakest link. All that has been accomp- lished has been the result of fine cooperation by students, parents, faculty, and friends. May I take this opportunity to wish each of you success in all your future endeavors. Don't be satisfied with medi- ocre efforts. The individual who exerts the "extra effort" usually wins. Have respect for others and they will in turn respect you. To the graduating seniors I would especially like to offer my congratulations for reaching this milestone in your education. Learning is a continuous process through- out your life. Your future progress depends only upon your initiative. I have enioyed working with each of you and may the future fulfill each of your many desires. .df-Mm? e . , J School L4 Dick Jacobs, William Brown, Raymond Trobaugh, James Ferguson, and Robert Miles, members of the Richland-Bean Blossom School Board, take time from their various occupations to plan the district's school program. They form the vital link between the community and the school. Mr. Tro- baugh is the superintendent and Mr. Ferguson is the district's lawyer. Board ASSlSt3Ht Prlnclpal DON R. LEWIS B.S., M.S. Its purpose is to train young women to be worthy homemakers of tomorrow. ln their monthly meetings the local members hold interesting panel and round table discussions on such topics as teen-age problems and family relationships. They have opportunity to display their cooking skills with refreshments and dishes taken to pitch-in dinners. The national goal of F.H.A. is "to help individuals improve personal, family, and community living." In fulfilling this purpose, the local chapter canvassed Ellettsville and Richland Township on "Heart Sunday" in February of the National Heart Association. , , .:..........-itll nouagpy' 'VE .t--:1--:-'rr ' ' kMAKfR-f H Y O11 or if ' 14 Qr rn :s 73 E il. , EBU 5: A 95 0 - 'Z' O '21, ,Q 0 NEW 90 Officers 4'-4 + semen: vicka Hudson, President: Roberta Beard, Treasurer, Julie Judah, News Reporter, Sandy Grubb, Proiect Chairman: Sally Campbell, Rec- reation Leader: Rita Brinegar, Parliamentarian, Ly- nelle Mossholder, Historian: Beverly Steinhagan, Secretaryp Susan Miles, Public Relations Chair- manp Collette East, Vice-President. 65 ,imlxgi . Ahead lie the prom, graduation, summer vacations, summer iobs, plans for higher education, and the move into a new million dollar high school building next September. Through our combined efforts we, the members of the 1964 yearbook staff, have sought to produce a volume which well may be the final LLAMARADA publication. As the halls grow dim and the class- rooms quiet for the last time, may this book recall happily for you the events of the past year and hold this school forever dear in your memory.
