To turn the clocks back iust one more time We think of all we left behind, Our grade school teachers and all our friends, Haven't quite forgotten the things we did. At the beginning of the year we elected our class officers. After all the ballots were counted, Harry Arble was president, John Morgan was vice-president, Janice Myers was secretary, and Linda Roberts was treasurer. Choosing our class rings were Harry Arble, Majorie Barbuto, Ruth Congrove, John Eckel, Phyllis Gentner, Frank Kegg, Robert Leib, John Morgan, Linda Roberts, David Smith, Jack Thompson, and Mary Wood. On Student Council this year were Elaine Conrad, Pamela Dobbs, Karl Gib- bons, Jack Haupt, Carolyn Lustic, Charles Sauer, and Larry Schmardebeck, with Nancy Dulin as recording secretary. Janice Myers was vice-president of Red Cross, and Harry Arble was treasurer. Helping them out were Danny Auvil, Linda Forney, Karl Gibbons, Dean Noaker, Judy Rinella, and Judy Struckman. Playing hard on the football team were Tom Barton, William Bartram, Douglas Beard, Jack Buchanan, John Butcher, John Ellis, Lanny Ford, Jack Haupt, Lenny lsakov, David Kedra, Terry Kennemuth, Kenneth Lewis, Duane Lushbaugh, Edward McCartt, Richard Peterson, Bruce Wilt, and Paul Zonker. Cheering them on were Gloria Daughenbaugh, Pamela Dobbs, Jeanne Linn, and Carol Tipton. Helping to lead the band down the field were four junior girls. On the line were Elaine Conrad, Janet Showalter, and Virginia Sutherland. Majorie Barbuto was our head majorette. Racking up the points on the basketball team were Harry Arble, Gene Brodie, Jack Buchanan, and Larry Hone. On the wrestling team were Gary Cox, Richard Peterson, and Larry Withrow. Many juniors earned letters this year. They are William Bartram, Jack Buchanan, John Butcher, Gene Brodie, Lanny Ford, Lenny lsakov, Terry Kennemuth, Richard Peterson, and Bruce Wilt. Coming in second in co-ed volleyball were the Dipsy Doodles: Harry Arble, Jack Buchanan, Carol Hoch, Larry Hone, Geary Ruddock, Janet Showalter, Judy Struckman, and Meredyth Watson. We were very active in the Music department. There were 44 juniors in Senior Choir. Harry Arble, Robert Chatmen, Elaine Conrad, Mary Kendall, Terry Kennemuth, Linda Roberts, and Geary Ruddock were in Madrigals. In the operetta, "The Lowland Sea," John Eckel had the male lead. Elaine Conrad, Robert Chatman, and Geary Ruddock were understudies. Patricia Pfeiffer and Meredyth Watson were in Beltones. Harry Arble, Robert Chatman, Terry Kennemuth, and Geary Ruddock formed the Boys' Quartet. The junior attendant at the Homecoming dance was Penny Hurr. Linda Roberts was the Sweetheart attendant. Representing us at Girls' State was Linda Roberts. Harry Arble went to Boys' State. Janice Myers and Danny Auvil were the alternates. One of the most popular clubs in the school this year was Hi-Teens. There were many junior girls who belonged and two were elected officers, Linda Roberts, vice-president and Nancy Dulin, secretary. Jeanne Linn was vice-president of FTA. FNA's vice-president was Carol Auler. Carol Auler and Helen Rosenberg represented Ellet on the General Hospital Junior Board. Chess club had all junior officers. They were Paul Phillips, president, Danny Auvil, veep, John Butcher, secretary, and Allen Brown, treasurer. Carolyn Lustic was the president of speech club. Carolyn Bialy helped her out as vice-president, and Jean Linton, as treasurer. Pamela Dobbs and Karl Gibbons were the only two members of the National Thespians. Vice-president of Latin Club was Harry Arble. Many junior girls belonged to G.A.A. of which Pamela Dobbs was recording secretary. Everyone will agree that the Junior Class of T959 has had a very successful year, but let's make our senior year even better! W FRESHMAN HISTORY The freshman class of nineteen-hundred and fifty eight has had a very successful year at Ellet. The first thing we did was elect our Student Council representa- tives: DARRYL SOMERVILLE, BLENDA STUMP, BARBARA TAYLOR, and STEVE VORIS. Playing on the freshman basketball team were RICHARD AXLINE, TOM BUCHANAN, DOUGLAS CARDWELL, JAMES JOHNSON, JAMES KENDALL, EDWARD MALCOLM, ROBERT MIHAL, GARY PARKER, WIL- LIAM PETERSON, KENNETH PITTMAN, JAMES RIFE, and KENNETH ROSER. The cheerleaders, spurring the team on to victory were KAREN BRETH, JANICE DE MASS, LILY FYGETAKIS, MARILYNN MAXWELL, and JUDITH MONROE. We were proud to have SANDY BRUMBAUGH represent us as the Homecoming Attendant. The library staff included these freshmen: NANCY BRYNER, JEAN- ETTE GRABLE, DAVID HALL, and DONNA STRIZAK. Musically, we proved ourselves. Many freshmen participated in choir. GARY PARKER was in Junior Choir. MARYANNE HALEY and DONNA STEELE were privileged to be in "BeIItones." We were well represented in the band this year also. Freshman officers for Y-Teens were MARTHA WOODRUFF, presi- dent, MARYANNE HALEY, vice-president, JERILYNN MORGAN, trea- surer, and BONNIE RUDDOCK, chaplain. We were also represented on the maiorette lines of Ellet. KAY BEAM was an alternate on the senior lines and JUDY CUTRIGHT was on the iunior line. We have had lots of fun this year and we are looking forward to an even better year as sophomores. MARTHA WOODRUFF JAMES JOHNSON EIGHTH GRADE HISTORY At the end of our eighth grade year, we, the class of 1963 feel we have had a most happy and successful year. We began the yec-r in September, by electing Red Cross repre- sentatives. Those serving were Sue Angel, Gloria Gentner, Mike Hampton, Judy Headley, Pat Hubbard, Bob Lowry, Donna Myers, and Cynthia Stock. Those representing the eighth grade in Student Council were Rita Roberts, Cynthia Stock, Bob Buchs, and Mike Hampton. Doing a wonderful job cheerleading this year were Pat Hubbard and Mary Lou Davis. Also doing a swell job were the girls on the Jr. Maiorette Line. These included Susan Conner, as head maiorette, Juanita Gallion, Becky Haufe, Carol Helsel, Sue Moore, Rita Roberts, Karen Schmardebeck, and Sue Wilson. Their alternates were Nancy Forney, Jo Anne Palmer, and Darla Williams. At the Homecoming Dance we were represented by Mary Anne Kelley. We were all very proud of our athletes. Those on the eighth grade basketball team were Harry Arnett, Bob Buchs, Ted Gray, Mike Griffey, Ricky Griffey, Bill Houston, Buddy Howell, Joe Krstich, Glenn Lay, George Prough, Bob Rueschman, Gary Wade, Zacky Zaveson, and Wayne Zulesdorf. One of the most popular clubs at Ellet is the Jr. Y-Teens. Judy Headley served as treasurer, and Pat Leith, Donna Myers, and Shirley Stump were all committee chairmen. We, the eighth grade class, have had quite an exciting and pro- fitable year, but we are looking forward to the joy and happiness that our Freshman year will bring us. - RITA ROBERTS Gb '-:Y L Karen Ca Janet Carter Barbara Casleel Susan Conner Nancy Crabtree Ann Cralne Vlole! Serving as their alternates were Maxine Besse, Dianne Fragula, Sue Johns, Cathy Jones, Marcia Lushbaugh, Richard Lustic, and Jean Orcutt. We were very proud of Robert Smith, and Raymond Pluck who represented us in Junior High Basketball. Our Homecoming Attendant was lovely Vicki Griffin. Doing a wonderful iob serving us on Student Council were Paul Fassnacht, Jennie Kendrick, Robert Morgan, and Cheryl Pace. We did well in scholarship because there were many seventh graders on the Honor Roll, We the seventh grade, class ot l964, hope to have as much suc- cess and happiness in our future years, 4 NANCY AULER mm Z 100 Mary Bry Linda Buchanan Charlolle Cam Cheryl Carier Vnranma Cheuvront Linda Chur h Linda Combs Joyce- Congrowe .lacquelynn Cop land Nancy Darsf Nancy Dulabahn Elrzabelh Egrnd Marce Fabre Annette Ferrell Ruth Fnfer Janne Folfz Shelly Ford Karen Foster Dnanne Fraqola Wanda Frashuer in-I 'fvwhvs ,px -sup ww-wr """" 'NM-vw ,N wif: SEVENTH fm--. sei -J 'NP 'Q-pf 'Oh' 'WTA' Loreiia Adams Susan Adams Carole Allshouse Nancy Anderson Nancy Auler Karen Bahler Sally Balfle Dlanna Baflen Maxine Besse Margaref Beverely Georgia Baybm Cheryl Booih Susan Brown Jenmfer Buck Phyllxs Burnside 'Q arf!
