Dorsey Sherman a sophomore quarterback
was one of the best otlenstve backs He was
invaluable or making and returning punts He

extra points alter a touchdown Dorsey recetved
honorable mention on the Big Ten Conference
and All State teams
Kenn th Taylor senior center improved his
playing much during the seas-on He proved ta
be an able center by playing especially well in
the Allegany game He received honorable
mention tor All State
William Jordan who dd a good tab ot
playing lett ena is remembered tor upp ng the
core ot the Weston game by scoring two touch
downs on oa ses and catchtng a pass that put
Elkins in position to score a third touchdown
William is a senior.

TOURNAMENT NEWS
ln a decisive but hard taught ball game, Ellcins emerged a winner and won a
place in the Regional Tournament by defeating Parsons at the sectional tournament
held on March l, with a score ot 66 to 36. Honored on the Sectional Tournament
team were Captain Arden Swiger, Dorsey Sherman, and Kenneth Taylor.
Our next goal was to deteat Weston at the regional tournament on March 9.
After a close and highly contested ball game, the Tigers were nosed out by Weston
in the last minute with a score ot 57 to 56. Captain Swiger and Dorsey Sherman were
picked on the Regional Tournament team. Robert Morrison received honorable
mention.

one oboe, three tlotes, and piccolos. tour soxophones, seven sponsors, one drum
