Judy Collins, Secretary, Judy Gregory, Reporter, Don Pedro, President, and Johnny Stokenbury, Vice-President FRESHMEN On September 4, 1961, 33 nervous and excited freshmen walked through the doers of Elkins High School. This was not completely new to us as we had been here in the eighth grade last year. Finally we got the idea of it all and we began the routine we would do so often during the year. We elected officers: Don Pedro, President, Johnny Stokenbury, Vice-President, and Judy Collins as Secretary- Treasurer. We chose Mrs. Hogan as our class sponsor. Our student council representatives are: Don Pedro, Susan McManus, Sharon Reed, and Robert Vaught. We, the class of 65” are now adjusted to high school life and look forward to another year at Elkins High. 27
