Teaching the fundamentals of bookkeeping and business math, and the basics of shorthand and typingg the business teachers continually stress the need for and the importance of, atop-notch secretary or business executive, in this modern world of today. Experience is akey word in business success. Latin is very helpful in understanding our own English language. German students find that there is a close association of the language with our own local language heri- tage. French, the diplomatic tongue, enables us to communicate with many of the world's people. The aim of the Home Economics Department is to develop in the student an appre- ciation for one of our most important social units, the home. It is organized, with well experienced teachers and modern equipment, to provide a fundamental background for girls planning to work in or outside the home. Home Economics is a valuable and necessary subject. It is available to all girls, desiring to learn the principles of good homemaking.
