On December 2, 1965, Elizabeth Seton College received a great impetus in its pur- suit of excellence when the announcement was made that our college was granted full accreditation by the Middle States Associa- tion Commission on Institutions of Higher Education. The accreditation, directed by an expert team of college professors and deans, signifies the full recognition of Seton's place in the academic world. The process leading to accreditation was a difficult and arduous oneg however, the co- operative efforts of both faculty, administra- tion and student body evoked a communal Middle Stoites spirit of unity, loyalty, and above all, faith. Preparations for accreditation began in the spring of i965 when students discussed problems, answered questionnaires, and the faculty worked long hours preparing the initial report. Finally, in October of this year the team, chaired by Dean Margaret Le Clair of Beaver College arrived and for four days, Seton was thoroughly investigated. When full accreditation was granted, the entire Seton family rejoiced. One of the biggest lessons learned from the self-study made by the college was that the process of evaluation and remaking must be an on-going one. Steering Committee deliberate at a planning session. 1 Q Sister Miriam Imelda and Dean Margaret Le Clair seem pleased after the team's visit.
