It ' s operation went from a faculty mem- ber and a couple of typist, to a complete student staff operation and an advisor. In order to produce an attractive yearbook it takes plenty of hard work. The yearbook staff was invited by their field repre- sentative Mr. Robert Lawson and plant consultant, Mr. Dave Pegnard, to attend a seminar on produc- ing yearbooks, which was held in Cambridge, Maryland. The experiences gained from this trip should be very valuable in helping the staff in future years. Ninety percent of the students work- ing in the yearbook staff are freshmen, some of whom have worked on the yearbook in their high school. The yearbook staff was determined to produce their yearbook differently than it had in previous years which prompted them to build their own darkroom, where they could photo- graph the pictures they wanted and also develop them. This was done with the guidance of Mr. Ellis Smith and Mr. Blount from the Educational Media Department.
