Accredited four-years degree courses for training of teachers and other workers in : (a) Business Education, (b) Elementary Education, (c) English, (d) Fine Arts, (e) Industrial Arts, (f) Physical Educa- tion, (g) Science, (h) Social Science. 2. Vocational-Technical Training (two-year programs) in: (a) Auto- Mechanics, (b) Brickmasonry, (c) Radio-Television Electronics, (d) Secretarial Scienc e, (e) Cosmetology (one year course). The Institution is accredited by the North Carolina State Department of Public Instruction, the Southern Association of Colleges and Second- ary Schools, the National Council for Accreditation ' of Teacher Educa- tion and the Association of Teacher Institutions. Tuition, board, lodging and laundry costs are very moderate at Elizabeth City State Teachers College. Cash grants, Work-Aid grants, and National Defense Student Loans are available for students having high academic ability, special talents or abilities in extra-curricular activities, and those having ability and need.
