The purpose of the club is to develop initiative and leadership, to serve the school and community, to
prepare for useful citizenship, and to give primacy to the human and spiritual, rather than to the material
values of life.
Some activities carried on by the club are to attend different churches every month, work at gates at all
basketball, football, and baseball games, help with the Civil Defense projects in Elizabeth City, render services to
church, community, and school in special ways whenever called upon. lt contributes to T.B. Seals and Salvation
Army every Christmas.

LIBRARY CLUB
The purpose of the club is to train students for effi-
cient service in the school library, to keep in touch with
student librarians in other schools and to stimulate in-
terest in librarianship as a career. The club attends dis-
trict and state meetings of the North Carolina High
School Library Association to learn how to give better
service to the school and to find interesting and helpful
activities for our club meetings.

standing features of the school
and community. The band
participates in many activities
during the year, lt supported
the school's activities by its
performance at the F.H.A.
District Rally, pep rallies, foot-
ball games, and by playing at
the weekly assemblies.
Its activities in the commun-
ity and state include playing
at the Lost Colony, the Air
Force "Send Ott" Regatta Pa-
rade, U. N, Day Parade, Hal-
loween Parade, Armistice Day
