OFFICERS BILLY PAPPILNDICK President NANNETTE SYLVESTER Vice-President CAROLYN FINCK Secretary CLAY FQRLMAN Treasurer SOPHOMQRES It was an exciting day-our first day as Sophomores of E.C.I-I.S. You see, this time we weren't on the receiving end of first day initiations. It was fun to see the freshies shriek and shout as we, oh, so artistically applied various shades of lipstick. How nice to no longer be the baby class of E.C.H.S. Our work in extra curricular activities increased this year. Besides belonging to all the clubs open to us we worked on the student council, The LOIltI'Sl7l'l1lQt'1', SPOTLIGHT, and the safety patrol. Some of the athletic stars came from this class and many of us were band and glee club members. Each Wednesday night at Teen Tavern we were there and at all the street dances too. We found out they were lots of fun. But everything wasn't play. We worked too. Who'd ever forget biology? I bet we'll remember those frogs and worms we dissected when we're a hundred. We struggled with Shakes- peare, too, in this our sophomore year. But despite the work, wasn't it fun? In the years to come some of our pleasantest memories will probably be of sophomore days. 16
