President Entering the portals of Elida as Iuniors in September, the class of '50 eager- ly look up its duties by electing three prominent members for class ollicers. They Were: President, LaDoyt Snow, ViceePresident, Allan Miller, and Secre- tary-Treasurer, Mary Lou Gilden. luniors were active in the line of sports, contributing Stanley Strayer, Don Miller, Norman Paxon and Richard Taylor to Varsity squad in basketball. Norman Paxon, Richard Taylor and Stanley Strayer were prominent on the gridiron, While Don Miller served as the Bulldogs ace moundsman in base- ball, hurling the Elida nine to victory. The lunior Class Play, Aunt Cathy's Cat , starring Miriam Long, LaDoyt Snow, and Elaine Glass, was presented on December l. VV e elected Elaine Glass as carnival queen and she in turn chose LaDoyt Snow as her king. As our homecoming candidate We selected Laura Bruce who won the contest and reigned as Queen of the Homecoming. We held our prom on May 6, at Springbrook with Reverend Willard Thomas as our speaker. ' The class held a hayride on November l, and afterward stopped at Duane Stemen's house for a Wiener roast. We all eagerly anticipate a successful iinal year at Elida High.
