SUMMARY OF THE SEASON The first district championship team Eldorado ever had started off the season with several practice games before entering district play. The Eagles entered in three tournaments, winning our own "Rangelands Tournament" by defeating Ozona 51-28. In the Bronte tournament the Eagles lost to Ballinger 34-41 in the semi-finals. We gained the quarter finals at Ozona but lost to San Angelo 33-35 in a hard fought game. In district play the Eagles won the West half of the district without a defeat. After winning the West half, we defeated Junction, the East half winner, two out of three games. The Eagles then went to the Regional tournament at Brownwood and lost their first game to Burkett 36-45, who lost to Early in the finals. During the season the Eagles won twenty-two games and lost six. We scored a total of 1,101 points to artotal of 745 points for our opponents. We placedthree men on the All-District Team: Gerald Hicks, Billy Ray Jones, and Chester Biggs. tw-J in hx 'I Q.
