To Mr. Samuel Giansante, the Revue Staff sincerely
dedicates this 1955 Revue.
During his four years here at Elba, Mr. Giansante
has contributed greatly to developing sound minds in high
school. He has created a lively enthusiasm in politics
through several assemblies and has initiated s 'Problems of
Democracy" class for seniors. His excellent guidance of the
Student Council and his sincere interest in education have
won him the admiration and respect of all students.

We, of the Board of Education, feel most keenly our respon-
sibility to provide the best education possible for the youth
of our community. This yearbook is one way to present evidence
of the school program. The continuing attendance at school
functions by the public, the generosity of the community with
tax funds, the fine young people who are graduated each year-
present us with a challenge to promote and continue improvement.
we proudly accept the challenge as well as the essentials of
thought, effort and interest which it contains,

The administration of the school has the opportunity to see
all of the parts of the program as they develop and change. We
feel that the theme of this book closely resembles the aims and
purposes of our school: to develop healthy bodies, train and
equip mental and physical capacitiesg to guide toward a life
based upon spiritual valuesg training in American citizenship-
its rights and responsibilities.

Dear Diary,
The class of '56 experienced great anxiety when the long-awaited class rings were delay-
ed. But they amused themselves during the long wait with the Junior Prom held in "The King-
dom of Heaven." Time was also whiled-away by the entertaining anecdotes of Mr. Joslin. The
class rings were finally distributed but the glory had to be shared with the try-outs for the
Junior play.

Dear Diary,
The class of '57 has really been "cooking with gas" this year. They attacked the problem
of raising money by selling tantalizing refreshments to the ever hungry spectators attending
home games. In addition, two crowd-drawing movies thrilled the public and increased the
treasury. This ambitious class has chosen as its leaders:

Dear Diary,
Under the much appreciated guidance of its advisor, Mrs. Palmer, the class of ' 58 had a
very successful year. Its project, to sell refreshments at the football games was a chilly
one but they tackled the problem with a stout heart and high hopes.
At the beginning of the year they elected the following members to lead their class:
president ' Louise llarkwica
Vice President L00 Hi-1115
