Combat Information Center along with strong backing by the Communications and Electronic Divisions was able to achieve far above the minimum grade of 88 on all competitive drills. Along with completing successfully such drill as the Z-IO-CC, Z-12-CC, and Z-14-CC Combat Information Center also had to insure that all yearly training exercises were properly completed, that there were no reported security violations and that there was a satisfactory performance during all major Fleet exercises in port. Gunnery Ops GENERAL QUARTERS, GENERAL QUARTERS. All hands man your BATTLE STATIONS! This call was heard often on EL PASO and prompted quick action by all hands. The life of a warship and the capability it has for carrying out it ' s mission can depend on the conditions of it ' s weapons and the expertise of the gun crews. EL PASO ' s gun crews and supporting personnel practiced often. On all, over 500 3 50 rounds were spent in firing practice.
