I sincerely hope that my term of office during the first semester met with the expectations that were held for me. If so, may I take this oppor- tunity to express my appreciation to those who so ably helped with the fulfillment of those ex- pectations during the fall term. Your Vice-Presi- dent Pat Patterson, Secretary Joyce Dodson, and each commissioner served with cooperation that was tops. Without their help l'm sure that any success we did achieve would have been impos- sible. Miss Robbie Hopkins, our faculty adviser, was our greatest help, and her endless hours of effort in our behalf were greatly appreciated. LOREN RUSSELL, A.S.B. If in any way we could help you to remem- ber the pleasant things-those things that bring a twinkle or a tear to your eye-we would like to do it, it would fulfill the purpose of the book and make a perfect ending to an enioyable term of office. The Boys Federation has ably promoted an assisted the actlvltles of the boys In the high school It has helped these fellows understand and assume civic responsibilities and maintain for themselves hugh standards and morale Under the sponsorship of Mr George Phelps the Federation grew to become one of the finest organizations on the campus The officers for the past year have been President Jack Dennison Vice President Bill Norton Vice President Don Garrison Secretary Treasurer Jack Nelson Commissioner of Activities Eugene Smith Judge Sam Henrietta They had charge ofthe parking and traffic on the campus held school court sponsored the Mother-and-Sons football banquet and the an- nual sports carnival. The Boys Federation was also the originator of the Employment Service which has helped some fifty boys to find jobs.
