I sincerely hope that my term of office during the first semester met with the expectations that were held for me. If so, may I take this oppor- tunity to express my appreciation to those who so ably helped with the fulfillment of those ex- pectations during the fall term. Your Vice-Presi- dent Pat Patterson, Secretary Joyce Dodson, and each commissioner served with cooperation that was tops. Without their help l'm sure that any success we did achieve would have been impos- sible. Miss Robbie Hopkins, our faculty adviser, was our greatest help, and her endless hours of effort in our behalf were greatly appreciated. LOREN RUSSELL, A.S.B. PRESIDENT, FALL In years to come, when you are looking back on this ol' annual, it may be the only remembrance of the really swell times you had in El Monte High. If in any way we could help you to remem- ber the pleasant things-those things that bring a twinkle or a tear to your eye-we would like to do it, it would fulfill the purpose of the book and make a perfect ending to an enioyable term of office. At this time I would like to thank every teacher and student for his help and cooperation. You will never know the pleasure and the grand experiences that you have afforded me. So, to all my friends, I would like to say: Carry on in the American way. JACK BARRY, A.S.B. Loren brought honor to our school by his being elected president of San Gabriel Valley Student Officers' Conference.
