Friday's activities started with people coming to school in their folks' 1950's attire. Floats were judged in the morning by local businessmen. A rally followed sixth period to help the football team prepare for the battle that night. The parade through town brought many spectators, but not as many as the football game rounded up. The final event for the day was the Homecoming Dance, held in the Ponderosa cafeteria. Left: The Commissioner of Entertainment, Joy Fletcher, leads the Homecoming rally. 50,5 Friday The theme of this year's Homecoming activities was Happy Birthday America . Monday was Red, White and Blue Day. Tuesday was cartoon Day. Wednesday almost everyone got into the act for Farmer Day. Even though Thursday was a minimum day many spirited students came dressed as monsters. Each day there were special activities during the one hour lunches such as apple-bobbing, and a sexy legs contest. Boys oined Hi-Iinx Activities This year an added flair was a welcome addition to Hi-Jinxg boys were allowed to come and enjoy the festivities. The main attraction was a spook house that was very effective until some of the guest demolished it! The evening included many activities such as apple-bobbing, a pumpkin carving contest, and a costume show . Special awards were given to the most original costume and to the best dressed couple. The admission price for joining the fun was an old toy that was to be given to a needy child. Below: The illustrious Doctor W.T. Kinkade grapples with his schizophrenic patient, David Jermstad.
