-l Considering the fact that the classes were only given three evenings to work on their floats they accomplished a great deal. The Frosh effort was rewarded by first place in the competition. Seniors followed close behind with second. juniors and Sophomores held up the rear with third and fourth places. The floats were built at the County Fairgrounds and had to be built sturdy enough to survive the rough trip down the backroads to Ponderosa for our Homecoming game. 50,5 Friday The theme of this year's Homecoming activities was Happy Birthday America . Monday was Red, White and Blue Day. Tuesday was cartoon Day. Wednesday almost everyone got into the act for Farmer Day. Even though Thursday was a minimum day many spirited students came dressed as monsters. Each day there were special activities during the one hour lunches such as apple-bobbing, and a sexy legs contest. Right: The drummers of the Cougar Marching Band keep up the beat of the afternoon Homecoming parade.
