..hat do you say about a guy like Scott Hakeman. Scott ' s not your typical Senior be- cause he is one guy who knows what he ' s doing. Scott is just one of those people who has the ability to obtain a 3.6 grade point average, be a strong member of the Debate Club, hold down a job, and still come out as the star of the Track and Cross Country team. ' Scott has run Track and Cross Country for four years and says, I love every minute of it be- cause of all the lasting friendships I ' ve made. 4 f« ' of crossing the finish line in the Boston Marathon. Time Well Spent When Freshmen first start high school they are, understandably, very nervous and con- fused, High school is a very scary place, at least at first. But shortly after the initial shock of the new year the uneasy, tinnid Freshmen begin to meet new people and start new relationships. As they grow and mature they become involved in academics, clubs, and sports. The young students feel more com- fortable at high school. By the time the stu- dents start their reign as Seniors they have become well versed in the workings of the school. The end of school becomes a time to think back and reflect upon all the memo- ries and friendships. It is also a time to look forward to the future. The Seniors have be- come elated at the prospect of graduating and going off to college to set new goals for themselves. Diplomas in hand, the Sen- iors leave the security of high school to face new problems they have yet to overcome. Delphus Montagne looks as though he just re- ceived his draft notice. Lonnie F.
