KERN, DANIEL DAVID Dan is one of ihe main native San Diegans. His interest in athletics has led him to have baseball and hunting for his hobbies. Last year he was a top star on Crossmont’s baseball team and this year he is starring on El Cap's varsity team. KLESTINEZ, RICHARD PAUL LAY, FRED DAVID Freddie Boy, is Fred's nickname. His hobbies are automobiles, espec- ially pink ones. Fred wants to fin- ish college and lie happily married in the future. His pet peeve is argu- mentative girls. Fred participates in the Rifle Club, Car Club, Basket- ball. and Track. He was the Comm, at Large in the starting of El Cap. KIRKMAN, HAROLD BILL Harold plans to he a draftsman af- ter his graduation from El Cap. He has come to San Diego from Delta. Colorado, where he was born 16 years ago. His hobbies are hunting, horseback riding, and photography. All of Harold’s friends call him Bill. His pel peeve is crowds. He likes to be alone. KOUNS, VIRGINIA MAE Virginia has been active in Y Teens 13,3.4: Faith Chmn.; Girls’ league 1,23.4, Pres. 4; Masqueraders 1; Empires 2; Calypsos 3: Hillhowlere 1.2; Palomar Conf. 23: Class Coun- cil 23.4; ASB Dance Comm. 3,4; Nom. Dolores has been in Phoenix formerly. LONG, JOHN WILLIAM JR. John plans a career in the Navy that he will follow with work in the forestry service. He has been very active in the Concert. March- ing and Pep Band. Golf Club, Ex- plorer’s BSA, and the Santee Fire Dept. John is the Pres, of El Cap’s band and Pep band. His only com- plaint is Calif.’s lack of naturally Ix-autiful scenery. JONES, SHARON KAY Sharon likes to play tennis, read and draw in her spare time. She wants to be either an airline stew- ardess or a school teacher after a few years at State College. Sharon has lieen very active on all of the Sr. Comm.; on Sr. Council and as Treas. of FT A. Sharon dislikes con- ceited people who put on airs. KELLY, BEVERLY WAYNE Ciris’ League 2; Nom. She enjoys reading, watch- ing basketball games and talking in her spare time. KELSO. JERRY KENNEY Jerry was liorn 17 years ago in England. Arkansas. In his spare time. Jerry likes to go hunting or fishing. He attended Grossinont for three years before coming to El Capitan. Jerry’s ambition is to be a highway patrolman and his pet peeve is that there are too many boys not enough girls. JONES, RICHARD ALLEN Track, hunting, and fishing take up a great deal of Richard's spare time. His ambition is to become a Baptist minister. Cross country and track were his activities. JOYCE. LA VERNE La Verne can’t stand people calling her by her last name instead of her first. She enjoys playing tennis, cooking, music, football games and baseball. La Verne hopes to have a husband, home and family in the future. She has been very ac tive in Pom Pon 3: Sr. Y Teens and Drama activities. KELLEY, NORMA CHARLENE Charlene, a native of San Diego, has been ac tive in Girls’ League at Grossmont. Pom Pon Corp., Sr. Y Teens and Sr. Comm, at El Cap. She likes swimming and tennis; she dislikes teachers who assign home- work on weekends. After attending Kelsey Jenny Business College she plans to become a secretary. KEPHART. W ALTER F. Before coming to El Cap. W alter at- tended El Cajon. He contrbuted much to the Palomar Conf. in his Jr. and Sr. years and to football this year. Walter was Commissioner of Sales his Sr. year here at El Cap. After graduation in June. Wal- ter plans to attend a college out of state. 47

MICHAEL FRANK Mike is a Senior with two favorite hobbies; these are girls and danc- ing. Mike was born 17 years ago in Denver, Colorado. His ambition is not to get married. LINDA SUE Linda wants to be a dental assistant after training at Cal-Westrrn or J.C. She likes reading and traveling in her spare time. Linda has Iwen the very able President of El Cap’s Sr. Class this year. She has also l»een in Job’s Daughters (PHQI, and Head Majorette. Linda dislikes smelly cigars and runout ballpoint l»ens. MARKHAM. PATRICIA Commercial art or any kind of draw- ing and painting interests Patricia. She plans to Im a housewife and a part time artist in her years after graduation. Patricia is called “Pat- tie,” by her close friends. She has been active in Y Teens. GAA. and Lea Chatons. Patricia doesn’t like sideburns and long hair on boys. MALZER. KAREN MARIE Karen’s ambition is to make some boy happy as a wife. Karen enjoys hiking, swimming, horseback rid- ing, sewing, cooking and skating.
