Dear Staff, Now that our years labor is finished, the time has come to file all our left-over copyforms, pens and pencils, erasers, and tranquilizers for next year’s staff. Our annual machine is about to take its place on the shelf with the other El Capitan firsts. But before we pass into oblivion, we have a few more words to say. Our annual machine has been kept running smoothly thanks to our chief oiler, Mrs. Hurley, but like most machines, we have had to have a mechanic to help us when those accidents happen. We must thank our favorite grease-monkey, that man from Myers, Mr. Thomas. We know that it is not the oil or mechanic that makes a machine work, it’s each part, no matter how large or small. Each of you have been a part of the machine—Esther, Marge, Melva, Steve and the active Activities Section; Mike and Don and the Sports;'the Financial Wizards, Karen, Jack, Margie, and Georgine; Nick, Joe, Carlos with Academics; The Artie Artists, Nick and Patsy; Seniors . . . Bev, Jean, Judy and Mike; Underclassmen . . . Glennda, Judy, and Eleanor; Susan and Sheri with the Snapshots and Faculty sections; Carolyn and Marilyn with Clubs; and the Picture-taking gang, Sis, John, Georgine, John, Doris, Dennis and Jeri- dine; and then there were our wonderful assistants, Virginia and Janet. We want to thank you all. We hope that the next editor has as fine a group as we have had. Thanks again. They’re putting us on the shelf now, our work is done.
