Franco, from Italy, lived with the Reverend Donald Flesner family while in El Campo. He was entertained with basketball games, dances, and a party given in the Dr. Grant Whorton home. Aslaug's American family was Mr. and Mrs. Glen Johnson, Glenell and Pat. She arrived from Iceland late in August, 1968 and stayed through June, 1969. Aslaug found English a rather difficult language to master, but she learned to speak it well and fluently. Du-ring the prac- tice for commencement, she presented Ice- land's flag to the Senior Class. Aslaug models Iceland's native costume of lace and finery.
